I understand why - in the context of recoding live bands, but this workflow works well for me. 'Real' sound engineers tell me this is 'wrong'. These are like rocking horse poo - almost impossible to find! But I like to be able to record multiple takes of my analogue eq tweaks, fader movements, and general dub tinkering - then add extra digital eq, fx, compression, etc to each track in the daw. I'm a bit odd, in that I like analogue multi-tracking mixer with post fader sends.
